Who We Are
Looxii was founded by two graduates of Georgia Tech’s MS in Digital Media program, Daniel Upton and Adam Rice, who conceived the idea for the company as part of the 2009 Shotput Ventures class. Since 2007, the two have collaborated on several successful academic, independent, and, now, entrepreneurial projects.
Daniel has a background in fine art, database programming, and graphic design, while Adam has an English degree and several years experience in marketing, journalism, and design. Together they are working to make common sense apps for businesses and consumers. They bring an interdisciplinary approach to their work that emphasizes simple, functional aesthetics and rapid iterative design practices.
